AVIOM AN-16/i v.2 : 16 CHANNEL LINE-LEVEL INPUT MODULE
The Aviom AN-16/i v.2converts 16 balanced line-level analog audio channels into uncompressed, full bandwidth 24-bit digital audio transmitted via A-Net.
AVIOM AN-16/i v.2 FEATURES:
- Sixteen balanced audio inputs (TRS)
- Sixteen balanced Thru connectors (TRS)
- A-Net Out and A-Net Expansion network connections (RJ45)
- Stereo Link switches for each channel pair
- Four-position gain switches (+22, +4, 0, -10dB)
- Signal present and clip LEDs per channel
The Aviom AN-16/i v.2 provides 16 balanced line-level inputs into a Pro16 system. Audio is converted to digital and transmitted via A-Net, up to 500'/150m over Cat-5e. A dedicated audio Thru is available for each input channel, allowing the Aviom AN-16/i v.2 to be seamlessly inserted into an existing audio signal path.
Placed at a front-of-house or monitor console, the Aviom AN-16/i v.2 can be
used as a head-end for a Pro16 Monitor Mixing System. Audio from the console-any
combination of channel inserts, direct outs, submixes, auxes, or groups-is connected
to the input channels on the Aviom AN-16/i v.2. The A-Net Out on the Aviom AN-16/i
v.2 is connected to the A-Net In of a Pro16 Personal Mixer (A-16II or A-16R)
or an A-Net Distributor (A-16D or A-16 Pro).
Used in conjunction with the Aviom AN-16/o v.4 Output Module, the Aviom AN-16/i
v.2 can also be used in a digital snake as an input path for main return signals
from front-of-house. The built-in A-Net Expansion jack allows two 16-channel
A-Net streams to be combined onto a single cable (32x0 or 16x16), and the AN-16SBR
System Bridge can be used to combine up to four 16-channel streams onto a single
cable in a variety of bi-directional configurations.
The flexibility and simplicity of the Pro16 Series allows complex audio distribution systems and snakes to be created quickly and cost-effectively.
Long Distance A-Net
Fiber-optic technology can be used for digital snake applications that require cable distances that exceed the A-Net maximum length of 500 feet (150 meters) between devices.
